Happy Mother's Day 2009

When Jonathan called today to wish me a Happy Mother's Day - we talked about projects for this summer. I want this summer to be not all work without play time for Jonathan, even though we did come up with some creative ideas for fun projects besides the master bath. Yesterday Jenna and I talked about taking a day or two this summer with JD, JM, and me to go do some photo shoots in the area.

Saturday I went to Jenna/Ed/Ella's for Mom's Day. We went for lunch at a Mexican restaurant and then walked through the Mitchell Park Domes. Jenna and I are never without a camera in hand, after comparing shot I am now wanting a dslr - I love the photo quality from my Panasonic but I would like to manipulate depth of field, etc.

The domes were a perfect place to visit on a cold damp spring day.

Friday I celebrated with Justyn/Rae/Ali/Gracie at Point Beach State Forest located just north of Two Rivers situated on the shore of Lake Michigan. We ate a picnic lunch, built a sand castle on the beach, enjoyed a leisure swing, and walked to the lighthouse. It was a beautiful sunny day. When I got back home my nose was pink and my hands are tanning a nice coppertone. It was too cool to be in shorts (although JC had shorts on) and short sleeves so the arms and legs are still white.
